Torch relay in Japan

On Friday, the torch was arrived in Japan and yesterday the relay has ended in Nagano, a host of 1998 winter Olympic, with at least four injured people.

I watched the relay on TV and the ceremony, followed by more than 3,000 police, was occasionally stopped by protests but went on more peaceful than expected.

Low tunnel at Shibaura, in Tokyo

This tunnel is very low and taxi drivers are very unwilling to run through the tunnel. A taxi with only a guest will not pass through it but the car with three can pass through, because the added weight slightly make the car go down.

Some business districts, such as Ohtemachi and Shiodome, have less places for having lunch, so when lunch time, many food stalls come out.

Theme day: Water

It was windy today, which made some petals of cherry blossoms falling down onto the water surface. Most cherry blossoms are still in full bloom now. But a few days later their fallen petals will cover the whole surface and unfortunately we will have to say good bye to the enchanting bloom.
