It's a Sony

This is organic EL, Electro Luminescence, TV, launched by Sony. The thickness is three mm, perhaps thinner than my cell phone. The size is 11 inch and the price is JPY200,000, or about USD1800. This is now very expensive and I would like to get it when it is more reasonable.

Stars for taste

Tokyo's night, flooded with sign neon, cars' flashing, lights from houses and buildings, seems to be too bright to see stars, even though under less humid and clearer air of autumn and winter.

But last night 191 stars of honor are brought to 153 Tokyo's restaurants by the Michelin Guide. Restaurants, receiving from three to one Michelin stars, has been announced last night by the Michelin, preceded by the launching of the Michelin guide of Tokyo, which is for the first time among Asian cities.

Eight restaurants got three stars, 28 two stars, 117 one star and the total number of stars in Tokyo is 191, exceeding 97 in Paris and 54 in NYC. According to the Michelin, Tokyo seems to be the best palatable city.

By the way, the restaurants with three stars are following:
Kanda, 神田, Japanese cusine
Syoju, 小十, Japanese cusine
Hamadaya, 濱田屋, Japanese cusine
Sukiyabashi Jiro, すきやばし次郎, sushi
Sushi Mizutani, 鮨 水谷, sushi
L'osier, ロオジエ, French cuisine
Joel Robuchon, ジョエル・ロブション, French cuisine
Quintessence, カンテサンス, French cuisine

A modern pavement in a park

This pavement is new and modern

Here is the old one, in Kyoto Daily Photo, one of my other blogs.

We seem to prefer inhomogeneity and asymmetry to homogeneity and symmetry because inhomogeneity and asymmetry goes well with the surrounding nature and we don't like to dominate the nature by geometric pattern.

Theme Day for November : Blue

Theme Day for November : Blue, Tokyo Daily Photo, Japan
Blue sky looks very boring for the theme, blue. But I cannot help sharing the beauty of blue sky in autumn in Tokyo, against the skyscrapers.

By the way, here is an old skyscraper behind the blue sky posted at Kyoto Daily Photo, the other photo blog of mine.

More than 100 City Daily Photo blogs participate in this theme day. Do pay them a visit but remember that due to time difference you might not see the proper photo.
