Anpanman

These characters are from one of the most cartoon series in Japan, Anpan man. The center in the photo is the hero in the cartoon and his face and head are made of bread to give children food. By the way, Anpan is a kind of bread in Japan, the one with bean jam inside.

Bonus

Excuse me, but no photo today! Instead, I would like to share an animation video made by a friend of mine, Tattsun, with you.

Click this, you will go to my friend's blog to watch it.

Note that it is a work with music and you need to mute if you watch it in an office or somewhere.

Dust boxes in front of a 24/7 store

These dust boxes are installed in front of 24/7 shops, which are very popular in Tokyo. Throwing away garbage separately is totally here to stay and we usually, when throwing away, separate them into some groups: the burnable, the nonburnable, cans, plastic bottles, glass bottles, magazines, newspapers and so on. As is a matter of course, throwing away garbage all together is to generate just a waste and doing separately is to be able to do use sources or materials again.

This is an ad of Shiseido, a cosmetic company.

By the way, this is another ad board in the same place in December.

Which do you like?

St. Valentine Day in Japan

This article is my post about St. Valentine Day in Japan, which is quite different from the one in US or Europe. Chocolate is sometimes used as a media for investment by women!!

:-) @ Tokyo

This is a part of a price list at McDonald. If you know Japanese language and look at the lower right of the photo, you think that the list is very strange!! At the lower right reads "Smile 0 yen, or for free". When you order "smile", clerks will give you smiles:-) (though I have not seen someone ordering smile yet...) If you are in Tokyo for travel and tired or get homesick, why don't you order "smile" for relaxing?

Have a smiling day!!

Due to time zone differences and other factors, the theme photo may not be displayed until later if you are viewing early in the day.
