Typical food in winter

Oysters are typical food in winter and very nutritious. They are also called "milk in the sea" because of their richness in nutrition.

By the way, this is the kitchen of my own and I have eaten 20 pieces of fried or grilled oysters only during a day. I know I am crazy about oysters...

As I'm only a short-term visitor to Japan in the winter, I can say truthfully that one of my favourite winter foods in Japan is...

hot soup! That corn soup that you can get hot in the can from vending machines. Also of silly commercials...

I love grilled oysters. Used to eat them often during winter in Shanghai where they are sold at streetsides. Garlic, chilly and some spring onions are added to the oysters. Yum! Yum!! I wish I am back to Shanghai again for those grilled oysters!
