The colder, the hotter

This is vending machine on the street and the hot drinks, such as hot coffee, hot tea, hot cocoa, are replacing the cold ones. Winter is surely drawing near.

"Winter is surely drawing near"

I think that's gramatically correct.

I remember hot cans of corn soup in the vending machines during winter. They had a commercial with the tagline "hato suppu!" really loud!

We could never have hot cans out of vending machines here in the US; the lawyers and professional victims would never allow it...

abraxis,
Thank you for correcting my English!!

Yes, hot cans of corn soup, oshiruko, sweet red-bean drink, and amazake, sweet rice-made drink, are also sold. I love amazake.

I have heard that a woman accused McDonald of spilling coffee on herself and burning herself. I don't know why McDonald had to pay her USD640,000...
