Keep out!!
As is not unusual, some of grass carpets in Japanese parks are prohibited from entering in, mainly because walking on the grass will hurt the surface. We seem to be too much sensitive...

I am also conditioned not to walk to grass. But walking barefeet on grass is so refreshing, especially in the morning and in summer....
It is nice to see so many trees.
When I was in Tokyo in 1954, Macky, there were old ladies on their hands and knees picking weeds out of the lawn grass around the Emperor's Palace grounds. I had never seen that before.
That is so beautiful. It's worth it to stay off the grass!!
I say what's the point of the grass if you can't walk on it.
