Est! Est! Est!

This is called Izakaya, serving foods and alcohol. Many labels on the door and wall are the one of Shochu, a kind of Japanese sake. Shochu is distilled alcohol and made from sweet potato, barley, rice, sugar cane and soba.

These label draws me into the restaurant.

Nice one! I like this shop front.
I guess Shouchu is more close to Jin. I prefer Sake, but depends on the foods you order, Shouchu could be better.

How interesting to have a shop stuck with all the labels :-)

ben: Japanese sake is more fruity than Shochu like white wine. I like sake but prefer hot Chinese rice wine, Shaoxing, with a little sugar or sliced lemon. Umeshu is also one of my favorites.
keropok man: Japan has many brands of Shochu and Japanese sake, but a little brands of Japanese beer.
