A big beetle

A big beetle, Tokyo, Japan
When I was a child, I preferred catching some cicadas, semi in Japanese, and beetles or some insects in parks or near trees along the river during summer vacation.

Now the situation has totally changed! Because of the global heating, the insects seem to become bigger:-))

To keep the insects from attacking us, we are sure to have a spray of insect killer with us in Tokyo when we go out:-))

Nice one, Macky.
When I was a child, I used to go my grand parent's place for summer. They has little hill in back with small forest. As you see now, I often go there to catch bugs. Sadly, couple of years ago, I've hard there is no beetles to catch there. It's just in my memory...

I like all of the black and white in this shot--the silver car looks white, the black jeep, the black and white logos on the building, the black ornate grillwork, the large beetle of course, and I will bet you waited for this lovely girl in black and white to walk into your shot-- how perfect!

I just clicked the shot to enlarge and see what I thought were logos appear to be,,,holes? and the i logo is actually dark blue.

I love the grey and the yellow cones. sometimes we walk past scenes like this without noticing all the great little elements.

Macky, a fun photo! So this is the latest in Japanese barbeque grills, eh? :-) The cicadas returned in full force to the Midwest USA this summer. I would have been happy if you would have taken a few home with you.
