Oh my. The last time I was in Tokyo, the tallest building was the old Imperial Hotel -- I think. The one Frank Lloyd Wright designed. It is gone now. ANyway, the Ginza was filled with two and three story buildings and all had some kind of neon lights flashing. It was a fast-paced city with lots of people walking. Not many cars. Mostly taxis.

Nice post. Brought back memories of my time there in 1953.
