Tuna auction, Tsukiji Tokyo

This picture shows the fish market before auction for tuna, which daily held early moring. At the corner of the fish market, there are thousands of tuna, more than one meter in length. Before that auction, many buyer carefully check out the quality of tuna, using an small ax and a flashlight.

By the way, 3,000 pieces of tuna, 2,000 tons in weight, are traded in the market only per a day. The auction of tuna is held at 5:30 in the morning, and travelers can be free to see the auction.
